Elijah-jon is the youngest in his family of six. He has two brothers Josh, Joey, and onesister, Kaylani. Growing up in such a busy household he quickly realized his love for sports. Eliloves to play basketball, football, and especially volleyball. During his Freshman year, he joinedhis high school football team. His sophomore year he played football again and joined the firstever Hillcrest boys volleyball team. His sports journey quickly took a turn when he found outthat something was wrong with his hips and would have to get surgery. The recovery took sixlong and difficult months, before he could even consider going back to playing. But once he wasfully healed, he didn’t hesitate to get right into his next season of volleyball. Where he thenplayed libero, a position he proudly calls “the most important spot in the game.”Eli is known for his strength and resilience, both physically and mentally. No matter thesport, he’ll always have a smile on his face while lifting up all of his teammates. His smile anddedication has not gone unnoticed over the years. He has built a strong circle of supporters andfriends through sports. “My biggest supporter is my mom.” Elijah says. “Shes always there forme, even during the hardest moments of my life.” His mom and all of his friends and family’smotivation fuels his drive to want to play as hard as he can every game. The more motivationand supporters he has the more successful he is. Eli’s sports are more than just games, they’re hiswhole life, he gets to go to practice and forget about all of his problems and just play. They’realso just a reminder for him to show how far he has come
