MIDVALE, UT — Hillcrest High School’s women’s lacrosse team has just begun its 2026 spring season. So far, the team has played a total of six games. Out of the six games, they have won three and lost three.
Over the weekend of March 13–15, the team took a trip to St. George, UT, to play a total of three games. In these games, they won two and lost one. They took a bus down on Friday and returned home on Sunday.
Senior Abigail Pruden stated, “The teams in St. George is typically really good and we ended up beating two of them which was cool. They also said that we were really good competition so that was also cool considering we didn’t even have a team three years ago.”
There are a total of ten seniors, and there are two teams, a JV and a varsity. They are doing better than previous seasons so far, due to the players becoming more familiar with the game. Most of the players started playing when the team was formed, without any previous experience.
“I have been on the team for three years. Hillcrest has never had a girls lacrosse team so when they started one my sophomore year I was really curious and needed something new to try. And ever since then I have loved both the team and lacrosse,” stated Pruden
